15. Changes on the Panel Bus

15.1 Typical Scenarios

This chapter provides information on how changes are to be carried

out on the panel bus (typical scenarios), plus the panel indication

(visual/audible) and the results of the changes.

15.2 Adding an extra panel to the Panel Bus

Step Task Expected results

For example, an Information Panel BV-210 is added to the Panel Bus.

The system is to be in quiescent

condition.

Enter access level 3 (service

mode).

Add a new panel to the panel bus.

Make sure that the panel’s

address (refer to Addressing

Panels, chapter 6) is not already

used for other existing panels.

Within 100 seconds the Fault indicator starts to pulse and the

internal buzzer is turned on.

The panel display shows the following message:

“Panel topology mismatch”

Press the Mute Panel button The internal buzzer is turned off.

Acknowledge the fault by pressing

the Function button, then press

the Enter button to accept.

The Fault indicator goes steady.

Save the configuration and restart

the system

The system restarts.

The system starts in quiescent condition, and the new panel is

operative.
